    Complex Discount Management

Exchequer only supports one discount for each customer unless each stock item is added to each customer as a separate special price. This is both time consuming and hard to maintain for Organisations which have stock items which require numerous different Discount Groups for different customers.

MPrice allows for easier maintenance of stock item discounts and the associated customers and provides the ability to add further Discount Groups.

MPrice allows easy maintenance of pricing data and importation of data via Excel spreadsheets, effective reporting and provides a single point of visibility for pricing, with the ability to expand upon the initial pricing requirements.

Discount Groups of stock items and their associated discount percentages are stored in an external database, which also contains a list of customers and the discount group they are a member of, as well as any Special Prices. Customers can also be assigned to Customer Groups which in turn can be members of Discount Groups.

When a sales order is entered in Exchequer, it checks the database for a discount and applies it to the price.

A search facility is provided, that shows the effective price for a customer of an item. If it exists in a number of different Discount Groups or Special Prices, then the cheapest price takes precedence.

A modifiable Quantity Break is used to dictate which of the two Discount Percentages is applied. The Quantity Break is for the total quantity of the order, not each line. There is an additional option to have specific Quantity Breaks on each Discount Group and/or each Customer.

These override the Global Quantity Break. Customer Quantity Break takes precedence, followed by Discount Group and finally, Global.
